hello one and all!
just came tottering back, all the way from Jurong East and the Science Centre, where i did some volunteering today. haha. you must think i'm crazed to volunteer on a weekend huh? well, you'd be right i guess. :)
anyway, i had loads of fun!! i always like volunteering there. it helps when you get to see mixed kids (with such nice HAIR - the brown/golden kind). haha. i think Kai had to stop me from staring at them too long, lest their parents think that i'm a paedophile or something.. heh. X)
anyway, i'm not blogging about such nice-looking kids today. instead, i'm blogging about the OTHER kind of kids i met on the way - the total opposites! gosh, safe to say, these kids are NOT Singaporeans. they are err, foreigners on a school trip to the Science Centre. dammit, but they were rude. they kept pushing and shoving and they just shoved the other placid Singaporean kids aside and just STOLE the toys. Kai and I were like HUH? so rude!
Thank goodness i couldn't speak much of that damn language and so Kai had to bear the brunt of it all. mann but i don't pity her. if my kids will be competing with those insolent ones i met today, later on in life, i'd rather my kids remain jobless or whatever. so rude. gosh. those kids, way younger than me, actually ruined my afternoon!
if not for the, ahem, cute French guy that tried to play some of our puzzles, i would have labeled my afternoon a failure. haha. i think Kai and I had stars in our eyes when the French guy came over. the thing is, he is, ahem, much older than us? haha! but he looked so cute standing there we were like, "you wanna come try??" *grins*
i, for one, happen to like the Science Centre very much. X)
anyhow, that entails my very eventful day at the Science Centre. seriously though, it's a pretty cool place. loads of exhibits and all. MUST go there another day to look through all the exhibits. haha. :)
perhaps, if i occupy my time more enough, i can take my mind off the dreaded day that is looming ahead, ....right?
